FOAIE VERDE DE PRUN

Păsările au tăiat frigul în două,
S-au ascuns brebeneii în păr,
Hainele vechi în ladă,
A înflorit ceasul bun,
O să fie exod
În iubire,
Foaie verde de prun,
Eternitate subţire,
Păcătoasa de mine
Iar o să creadă.


GREEN LEAF OF A PLUM TREE

The birds have cut the cold in half,
The spring crocuses have hidden in my hair,
The old clothes in the chest,
The good time has bloomed,
An exode will be
In love,
Green leaf of a plum tree,
Slight  eternity,
Sinful me
I shall believe again.
