OK, people so it's finally official: after the hot speculations in recent few days that the final candidates for the role of
Spider-Man in the new reboot

were
Josh Hutcherson and
Jamie Bell,
Sony Pictures has officially announced that they've decided to give the role to a relatively unknown young actor
Andrew Garfield. According to producers Garfield was chosen because of the rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity in his personality and they were looking for a smart, sensitive, and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire viewers and make them laugh, cry, and cheer. As they admitted themselves, the producers were floored by
Andrew Garfield's glorious screen test. Although he wasn't noticed by the general audience young
Andrew Garfield has played in "
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus", "
Lions for Lambs", "
The Social Network"...

And he is British :) I'm not overly excited, and I think he looks like a younger brother of tennis player
Andy Murray, what do you think guys?
