Flat and Heeled Sandals

Flat sandals are comfortable to wear even after long periods of time. These can take a woman from a casual and laid back day to an elegant and formal night. Heeled sandals look stylish and fashionable when worn on a night out with friends. Bejeweled, heeled sandals in solid colors are elegant to wear on formal occasions and events. These are ideal footwear during weddings and social parties for a more polished and formal look. These also give extra height to make a woman look smarter and more confident. However, constantly wearing heeled sandals requires putting on pantyhose to support the legs and feet. A woman should pick pantyhose that are close to the color of her skin for a more natural and neutral effect. Heeled sandals that are strappy and open-ended look good when worn with toe-less types of pantyhose.

Strappy Sandals

Flat, strappy sandals with assorted colors of straps look casual, playful, and relaxed. These are great to wear on beach outings and vacations. A pair looks good when worn together with summer dresses, shorts, and miniskirts. Heeled, strappy sandals are ideal for women with slim feet. On the other hand, these are uncomfortable and not ideal for those who have large and wide feet. Heeled, strappy sandals boost confidence by improving a woman's stature and silhouette. These emphasize the length of her legs and give her an extra height. A pair of these goes well with long gowns and formal party dresses. Heeled, strappy sandals also look good when worn with a pair of slacks that falls exactly or an inch below the ankles.

Thong Sandals

Thong sandals can either be heeled or flat. They are stylish yet look very casual. These are also great options for women who are looking for alternatives to their usual footwear that offer relaxation for the muscles of their feet and legs. Thong sandals are combinations of leather, faux leather, rubber, and cloth materials. Some have embellishments and rhinestone to create a more feminine look. A pair of these goes well with almost every woman's outfit. These also look good when worn with shorts, miniskirts, summer dresses, and pants.

Wedge Sandals

Wedge sandals are great alternatives to heeled types of sandals and are usually more comfortable to wear than the latter. These look casual and smart, and also give an extra height. Women with muscular legs will also benefit from wearing these types of sandals that help in creating illusion of slimmer and longer legs. They are versatile enough to put on with shorts dresses, short pants, and miniskirts. Polished and bejeweled wedge sandals go well with cocktail and casual long dresses. On the other hand, wearing these sandals on formal occasions and events is not a good idea. Wedge sandals look laid-back and are more suitable for casual dates and parties.
