  1. The Classic Lemon Mojito is the perfect drink for any occasion. A formal dinner, a casual lunch with friends or even a late night party. The classic lemon mojito can also be drunk with any food, I do suggest fish though as the tastes compliment eachother outstandingly.


The Classic Lemon Mojito is also very good for you as it contains lemon and mint which are proven to be very good for you. The lemon has antiseptic properties, preventing sepsis and contains a great source of vitamin C which is an important ingredient, especially for healthy gums and absorptian of iron. The Lemon is also a brilliant antioxidant. Heartburn, Bloating and Belching are relieved due to its digestive properties. Mint stimulates brain activity and alertness, clears nasal passages and throats and freshens breath.




To make this wonderful beverage you will need the following:





  • Lemon


  • Sugar


  • Mint


  • Water


  • Ice


(The quantities are up to you)




How to make the Mojito:





  1. Firstly cut the lemons in half and juice them and pour the juice into your blender.


  2. Secondly add the fresh, clean mint leaves to the lemon .


  3. Thirdly add as many tablespoons as you prefer to the mixture .


  4. Then, Add the cool water to the mixture of Mint, Lemon and Sugar. Add the cold water so that the mixture is half lemon juice and half water.


  5. Turn the blender on and let it run at a regular speed until the mint is in small pieces (the size of the rubber on the back of a pencil)


  6. Turn the Blender off and then pour the Mojito into tall chilled glasses.


  7. Add Ice if you like.


Serving tips:





  • If you are serving this beverage at an afternoon tea party or a casual lunch. Why not add a colouful umbrella on the edge of the cup and possibly a nice colourful straw.


  • If you prefer to make the drink a more elegant drink for an evening party (etc) you could possibly add a slice of lemon on the edge of the glass.


  • make sure the drink is chilled.


  • Do not add too much sugar to your mojito.


  • If you like, do not add any sugar to the mixture and make a seperate syrup so that your guests can sweeten the mojito as they like.
