The hair guru mingled with the stars in the buzzing backstage setting while retouching performers and sharing hair care tips with songwriting celebs such as Trisha Yearwood, Chaka Kahn, Chrissie Hynde and Skylar Grey.



Held at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel, the awards ceremony celebrated its 42nd anniversary with unforgettable performances and a vibrant atmosphere. Some of the night’s memorable moments included Garth Brooks and Billy Joel’s chilling duet of “Shameless” and hip-hop phenomenon Drake’s emotional tribute to his mother while accepting the coveted Hal David Starlight Award. Legendary songwriting partners Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly also performed their iconic song “Like A Virgin.”



With Hal David at the helm, the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame Induction and Awards dinner is one of the most anticipated events on the music industry’s calendar.
