David's New Tattoo
First of all, I just wanted to thank you all for your well wishes and comments regarding my grandfather. It's a very difficult time for my family and I right now, and the fact that you all are very understanding really means a lot to me! He seems to be staying the same right now.. no better, but no worse either. He's going to have another surgery this week so hopefully it will all go well and he will get better soon!
On the other hand, it has been a bit slow in Beckhamland lately, but I will my best to catch up on what I've missed... starting with David's newest tattoo reveal. His latest ink is on his chest and it is of Jesus being lifted by three cherubs, of whom David says symbolise himself and his three sons. "It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot."
The tattoo is the handy work of one of LA’s biggest tattoo artists, Mark Mahoney, who has worked on a long list of famous names who include Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. "He’s not a tattooist who goes on and does TV programmes. He’s low key and stays out of things and is very talented."

David Gets Yet Another New Tattoo
Right before David left for London with the boys, he got himself another piece of artwork... and no, not the decorative kind for your home, more like the inky kind for your body.
On David's FaceBook, the superstar soccer player posted the photo above and the following message: "I want to let you all in on something. Just had a new tattoo done by the legendary Mark Mahoney. Took six hours!"
I always thought that David was going to leave his chest area alone. I love his sleeves, I think they are sexy on him. Even though I don't really like them on most men, David pulls them off well. But I was kinda hoping he'd leave the rest alone. Can't wait to see what it is though!

Closing one shop
The Tattoo Help Desk is now officially closed. In spite of putting up this side project, all the tattoo questions still wound up being directed to this blog. If you do have any tattoo questions, feel free to ask away. I may not tattoo any more, but I still like talking and writing about it.
And the answer to the most frequently googled question about tattoos is this: No, it's not the best idea to get a tattoo when you are sick!
I also need to watch how I use my time. I'm not done with the novel (oh, it's so hard not to put that word in quotes!), but I'm already thinking about novel number two. Plus, I'm going to be getting free books to review from Amazon. I have no idea why I was solicited for this, but I'm pretty happy about it. I'm not going to turn down free books, even if there are some strings attached, like having to read them. I could fake a review, but that wouldn't be right.
Any other business to attend to tonight? I don't think so. Now, I'm going to write a real post.
