How to Look and Feel 20 Years Younger in 1 Hour!

How to Look and Feel 20 Years Younger in 1 Hour!

By Juan Woods

A client of mine asked me the other day "Should I color my hair?" Even though she had at least 30% grey, I had to ask myself, "Is this a trick question?" She was only 42 years old, but I had to find out how serious she was or perhaps was she only talking out loud? Having this much grey and not covering it at her age meant either she just did not care or she had eye sight issues. So I started out by asking questions like "How do you want other people to view you and do you want to look your age"? Some women can`t be bothered with their hair and others are simply unaware of how they look.

So we talked a little more on upkeep, color and styles to get a better understanding of what she might expect. As we spoke, she felt better about the outcome. We chose a color by Aveda to match her own hair color so when it grows out, the change will be very subtle. What most people don't understand is how much grey takes out the shine in your hair. The whole experience was a positive one and her hair came out wonderful; she was quite pleased! Now she will come in every 4 to 6 weeks and all her friends just say how youthful her hair looks and they have forgotten all about the grey!

The upkeep is well worth the time and effort. Coloring your hair can take around an hour or more but the results can be life changing. Have you ever seen makeovers on TV? The people look so plain, but with a fun hair style and hair color their transformation is incredible! It's as they have been shot in the arm with confidence! Just amazing how simple a makeover can boost one's self esteem. A good tip is don't color your own hair. The color never comes out like the picture on the box. True, box coloring is much less expensive than going to a professional hair salon. However, if you do something wrong (color not right) the cost to fix the problem will be higher than normal prices at the salon because your hair is now a big mess! If you do color your hair don't attempt to re-color when a mistake happens! Make appointment to repair your screwed up hair. Your hair professional will bring your hair back vibrant and sexy! There are so many great professional hair consultants who will listen to your ideas of your new look. Search for a hair salon online who has good reviews, who has been in business for years and reputation. Give your friend a compliment on their hair and they will tell you what the best salon to go to. Make appointment and relax!

Blonde To Brunette

Blonde To Brunette

By Chris Waage

Who says blondes have more fun? Are you thinking of taking the plunge into the world of brunettes? Today more and more women are taking the plunge! If you are one of the brave souls that are planning on going from blonde to brunette, below you'll find a few hair care tips to keep in mind.

• Nothing lasts forever, so they say. Dyed hair will ultimately fade out and you will lose those deep tones over a period of time. With many of the leading product manufacturers creating fantastic professional color-enhancing conditioners, you will have the ability to prolong the inevitable.

• Using deep-conditioning treatments specially designed for your hair type, will help prevent your color-treated hair from becoming dry and fragile.

• Any cleansing product you use must be designed for color-treated hair.

• Select a darker hue that compliments your natural skin tone and eye color. When in doubt about the best color for yourself, visit a professional hair colorist to safely make your brunette transformation.

• To be certain of the perfect hue for your skin, consider experimenting with darker and lighter tones that will enhance depth and richness.

• Placing subtle highlights around your hairline will give you (2) things:

1. It will keep the natural look we all desire.

2. As well as help brighten up your face.

• Remember changing your hair color means changing your wardrobe as well, or least adding to it. Darker hair usually works best with darker and richer fabrics.

Decisions, Decisions...

Now some of us are more brave then others. There are those who wouldn't dare try and tackle such a transformation at home on their own, while the other brave souls will try anything, at least once. Whether you visit a professional hair colorist or decide to walk the walk on your own, take your time with your decision and consider all the long-term ramifications of going darker.

Once you do get that beautiful brunette color in your hair, be sure and take very good care of your newly luscious colored locks. The last thing you want is to have all your hard work go to waste. Just like anything else in life, what's worth doing, is worth doing well. Not to get to deep here, but taking such a big leap from blonde to brunette hair is a big deal. After all is said and done, you'll be glad you did. Now go ut there and rock your new hairstyle!

Hair tips just like this will help you go from blonde to brunette and also everything else hair related.
