Understanding a bit about hair extensions can save you time and money especially with all the different types and styles available on today’s market. Most people prefer human hair extensions since they are normally easier to care for than others out there. Using hair extensions is a great way to have long hairstyles without waiting months for your own hair to grow. If you are considering hair extensions for wedding hairstyles or prom hairstyles there are a few things you should know.The way that hair extensions are applied is very important. It does not hurt! There is a track made with your own hair by creating a same braid. Then the hair extensions are actually sewn to your own hair track. This track commonly called a corn-row by hair stylists runs horizontally around the back of your head. These tracks are done in the middle of the scalp where no one will be able to see them.For all prom hairstyles and wedding hairstyles, the crown area of your hair will cover the top track. According to how many wefts you decide on will be how many tracks you will need for the long hairstyles. Also according to how much hair you need to create the wedding hairstyles or prom hairstyles will determine how many tracks you need. After the hair stylist has created the tracks, the human hair extensions or hair extensions of your chose will be sewn to the tracks. Then the hair will be blended into your own hair. The hair extensions will now be treated like your own hair.To care for your hair extension you should treat it exactly like you do your normal hair. However, if you could not grow long hair previous for all those long hairstyles you desired you might not have been caring for your hair for new hair growth. Here are a few tips to help you care for your hair extensions so you can always have the long and glamorous hair you deserve for all the prom hairstyles or any long hairstyle you choose.

NICOLE KIDMAN UNDERGOING A SEX CHANGE IN "THE DANISH GIRL"

FirstShowing.net has announced that Nicole Kidman has officially signed on to play in "The Danish Girl" an adaptation of David Ebershoff's book. It describes the life of Einar Wegener or Lili Elbe, who was the first person back in 1931 to undergo a sex change operation. Nicole Kidman will portray Einar, while Charlize Theron decided to drop out of the project although it was initially planned for her to play Einar's wife.
Interesting I say. Nicole is now known as an actress who likes choosing very strange and unusual roles, but I have to say that I don't see her capable of delivering the deep inner conflicts of her character that would make us symphatize with the problems described in the movie. She's just too cold and reserved for such a role, but we shall see. Maybe she will surprise us.

Changing taste

Fall has arrived. Though it crept up slowly, it feels as if it's all so sudden. This morning is gray and there is a blanket of leaves upon the ground. Last night, as with all the nights in the last week, I was keenly aware of how early it became dark out, and the reality that soon it will be nearly dark at 3:30 in the afternoon is starting to set in.

When the weather changes, my taste in fragrance usually changes along with it. This season something else has changed. I've pulled out some of my favorites and their charms eluded me. My love of frankincense seems to have left me. In spite of that, Serge Lutens' new Fille en Aiguilles tempts with it's promise of a sweeter version of L'Artisan Passage D'Enfer.

Thankfully, I can't afford such a splurge, nor would I jump at a unsniffed purchase of a scent composed of notes I may have lost my taste for. I do wonder why some fragrances that had transported me fairly recently have lost their spell-binding allure, or simply their comforting familiarity. I'm not one given to fickleness. I suspect something larger is going on. Hormones?

We know so little about the sense of smell. I know that smell has a profound effect on me. It always has, from a whiff of something bringing back forgotten memories and images, to my first experience of falling in love, and remembering the revelation of burying my face in my 16-year-old boyfriend's neck and feeling literally weak in the knees. The word "swoon", bandied around in romantic writing, is certainly real. There are those who've never swooned, and I feel a bit sorry for them. It is delightful, and a bit frightening in the way the experience reminds the conscious mind that it's not entirely in control.

I nearly swooned the first time I smelled Annick Goutal's Encens Flamboyant, and now it's leaving me cold. I quickly posited "hormones?" and left us all hanging. Yes, I suspect it might be hormones. I'm going through the big change, the unmentionable mid-life menopausal thang (and there, I've mentioned it). It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this could cause immense changes in taste in one's sense of smell. It is times like this I wish I was a researcher. I feel quite sure of my thesis, and I'd love to prove it.

In lieu of that, I've only myself to test my hypothesis out on, and my few readers. Anyone else experience sudden changes in taste and smell? I suspect any large life changes can trigger them, and certainly changes in weather and season seem to always do so.

WENTWORTH MILLER IN "RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE"

Just when I thought that thanks to the popularity gained in "Prison Break" charismatic and talented Wentworth Miller would get himself some interesting Hollywood roles, he found an episode one in a who-knows -which -sequel in a not-that -good franchise.
He will apparently play in "Resident Evil: Afterlife". He will be a guy whom Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter will lock up in a jail not knowing whether he is one of the zombies or not. In the movie, Milla continues with her efforts to expose the virus which could cause the extinction of the whole mankind, so while roaming the world she comes upon a jail in ruined L.A. surrounded by the half-dead creatures.
Paul W.S. Andreson will direct again and the movie is supposed to come out in summer 2010.
