What Strange Things Do People Put In Their Hair?
By Sam Qamand Jack M Mack
Ye olde recipes for luscious hair...
Our hair is very important to us; more important than most of us (especially guys) would like to admit, and this has been true for hundreds of years. Because of this we have come up with some weird and wonderful ways of getting our hair looking nice, no matter how bizarre the solution is. This article will look at some of the strangest kitchen style recipes for improving your hair:
Honey and Olive Oil
This concoction has been used by housewives for many years as a replacement for conditioner. It may not seem so surprising too as most conditioners have something similar to honey and natural oils, not just for their aroma, but because they have properties that do the job.
Mayonnaise
Many people really hate mayonnaise so this could be a tough sell. Nevertheless, rubbing a load of mayonnaise into your head is said to combat any signs of a dry and flaky scalp. This works because mayonnaise is made of eggs, oil and mustard. All of which individually have been shown to have good health benefits for skin, so why not when they are combined in mayonnaise?
Lentil Water and Orange Peel
If you suffer from greasy hair it is said that if you: soak a bunch of lentils in water for an hour then discard the lentils, boil some orange peel in separate water, then after a while combine the two liquids into one concoction, this will do wonders to remove the oil from your hair. Just make sure it is cooled down a bit first.
Coconut and Lemon Juice
Dandruff is certainly the bane of many black top wearing people around the world. It is thought that by combining two parts coconut oil with one part lemon juice then massaging this regularly into your scalp for several weeks; you should eventually get rid of the problem. Not something you would expect to see in a classic salon design studio. A more stinky option is to combine mustard with camphor oil, but this is only recommended for people who live at least 3 square miles from another human being with a nose. Don't want to get any on your fancy salon furniture!
Another possibly even more natural way to improve the condition of your hair is to improve your health overall. Your body is one big organic machine so by improving your diet, exercising more and avoiding unhealthy options you should give your hair a chance of naturally becoming less greasy, less flaky and generally better quality.
Won't get rid of the grey though!
Sam Qam is a housewife. She has found that despite all the fancy salon design and salon furniture, her favourite place to go to cut her hair is the local barbers. Simple is best for her.

Women's Fashion Inspiration: Men?
By Yael Meromy
Women's fashion trends are constantly changing, and with four seasons per year, it seems like each new month brings a hot new style. However, despite consistent shifts in trends, some style concepts keep coming back around. One example of this is the idea of women's fashion inspired by classic menswear. We've all seen it before, but February's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City showcased the trend's return to the runway. Designers like Tommy Hilfiger and Donna Karan sent their models down the runway in menswear inspired designs, that successfully combined the flirtatious and feminine silhouette with strong and graceful masculine twists. The outcome is a dynamic re-invention of the menswear trend, and one that is catching for the upcoming seasons in fashion design. Below are several examples of how to combine the perfect masculine garments with the most flattering feminine ones, to get that fashion school savvy mixture of a menswear-inspired look for women.
Sometimes, it's as little as the pattern of a garment. Even if you are wearing a skirt or fitted pants, they will remind us of menswear if you choose a classic men's pattern like pinstripes or tweed fabric. Try paring a strong fabric or pattern with a soft, feminine style, like a pleated skirt, cardigan or even a fitted blazer.
A great menswear inspired look, is the classic white button-up shirt. Wear a form-fitting one and tuck it into denim shorts or even slouchier men's trousers. Or, try a loose one, untucked over jeans, leggings or a skirt. The crisp, tailored and light cotton of a white blouse is a really nice style for spring, and as it gets warmer, you can wear short-sleeved button-ups, or even sleeveless ones.
Try layering with a vest. Vests can bring a super masculine vibe to an outfit, but they are also a chance to show your kitschy or creative side. Pick a vest with a wild pattern, like a loud floral print or even bright gold. Leather and fur vests are also always awesome. In the spring and summer, when the weather gets warm, you can even wear a vest over just a bra for a sexy and scandalous look. Another classic look for the vest is to pair it with tight black slacks or jeans, a and a plain, white t-shirt underneath. This look is especially cute with lots of long necklaces. The more accessories the better!
If you want to rock menswear-inspired pants, try either a workman's look with overalls or a jumpsuit, or a businessman's look with tailored trousers and a belt. Overalls work well with a cute, ruffled blouse underneath, or a silky tank top to add a playful feminine twist to the outfit. The trousers look great with heels OR a pair of women's loafers. The looser fit on the jumpsuits and trousers will feel comfortable and breathable for spring.
Finally, add a boyish touch with classic menswear accessories. Top your outfit off with a fedora or a bowler hat. Wear a necktie under a sweater or with a collared t-shirt. Wear shoulder pads in your blazer to create a broader line across your shoulders. Wear oxford-style shoes or a chain. Even the subtlest menswear-inspired touch will broaden the horizons of your outfit.
From bowler hats to boyfriend jeans, the menswear look has proved itself a long-lasting, re-occurring trend!

Bvlgari Man Cologne - The Ultimate in Class
By Jason Balchand
In the jewelery world, the name Bvlgari is synonymous with elegance and class, and those two qualities shine through with this company's latest male fragrance Bvlgari Man Cologne. If you are looking for a refined, tasteful scent that personifies a casual masculine suaveness and sophistication, this is it.
The handsome, smooth qualities of actor Clive Owen are the perfect foil for this fragrance by the perfume empire of Bvlgari. These qualities are, in fact, the very reason why he was chosen to represent it. Men who strive for that casual elegance and the women who want those qualities in a man are likely going to go for it. Its square clear glass bottle with a bold, black band at the top sporting the embossed company logo visually screams class.
Its Scentsabilities
Alberto Morillas is the famous "nose" behind Bvlgari Man Cologne and he has worked with this fashion powerhouse on a number of other scents as well. If only a few words could be used, someone might call this cologne an oriental woodsy fragrance. However, this generic description could fit hundreds of other scents and Man is anything but ordinary.
One of the first hints of this intoxicating cologne is the top lotus notes, normally a more feminine smell. However, the lotus is balanced with other top notes of bergamot, a spicy, fruity citrus scent and violet leaf, a peppery green aroma. The middle underlying notes come from a variety of woods, the warmth of sandalwood and vetiver, an earthy, piquant essential scent derived from oriental grasses.
The base notes however are what linger and create fragrant memories. Cashmere wood and the nectar of the gods, white honey, create a gourmet medley for the olfactory senses. Sultry amber, the warmth of musk and benzoin, a musky vanilla scent derived from tree resin round out this masculine perfume.
An Understated State of Mind
If you typically leave the house with just the smell of soap on your skin because most male fragrances are too overpowering, this Bvlgari scent would likely make you a convert. Yes, it has a commanding aroma that garners attention but it is fresh, clean and elegant. The scent lingers subtly and makes you smell like you, only better.
When male perfumes knock on your door before the man wearing it does, it can be quite the turn-off. However, Bvlgari Man Cologne invisibly lassoes the senses, providing you with an intangible, debonair sophistication that just might help you create some delicious memories.
