ANTONIO BANDERAS MAKING A FILM ABOUT MOORISH SULTAN BOABDIL
Boabdil spent many years fighting his own father and uncle for the throne, he also invaded Castile, but after many battles he had to surrender the city of Granada to Ferdinand and Isabella, king and queen of Castile and Aragon. The spot from which Muhammad XII looked for the last time on Granada while his royal party was moving to exile is known today as "the Moor's last sigh". King Ferdinand celebrated the conquest of Granada by taking Boabdil's daughter as one of his mistresses, and she became the mother of one of his illegitimate sons, after which she became a nun.

GERARD BUTLER VS ANISTON AND SCHERZINGER
CIARAN HINDS TO PLAY MARTIAN EMPEROR IN SF SAGA "JOHN CARTER OF MARS"
They are shooting the film at the moment. I have a small role in that. I have already shot on it for a couple of days. Then I go back to the set in March to shot for another six or eight days. I'm playing Tardes Mors, one of the leaders of Mars. I am the father of the female protagonist. She is played by Lynn Collins. Andrew Stanton is directing it. He shot "Finding Nemo" and "Wall-E". Those wonderful films. He had thought of me to play one kind of leader on Mars. It was a thrill to meet him knowing he'd made these classic films.
Ciaran will also appear as Albus Dumbledore's younger brother Aberforth in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows".
Oiling Hairs Excessively May Result in Hair Loss
Oiling hairs, in general, is considered as good habit. It is known to promote the hair growth. But, as per the research study published recently in the International Journal of Hair Research, has pointed out that oiling hairs excessively leads to the hair loss. As per their study they concluded that daily oiling the hairs is not at all good for the hair health, in fact it retards the hair growth and cause the hair loss. The usage of the oil in excessive is considered only when a person applies the oil daily or sometimes twice in a day.
When the oil is applied daily on the hairs, it reaches deep inside to roots of the hairs. It gets filled in the veins and arteries that supply nutrients to the hairs. In fact blocks the nutrients way to the hairs. As a result the hairs don’t get the enough amount of food. Primarily you will notice the graying of the hairs due to this. Then in few days you will notice that your hairs start removing while you comb them. This happens as the hairs are weak. Finally you will notice that your hairs are falling substantially.
Hair oiling is good for the hairs but only when done in a limited amount. It would be better if you oil the hairs only twice or thrice in a week as it would be very helpful for the hair nutrition. Excessive nutrition is even not good for the health. So, please don’t oil the hairs daily. Some people may say that this will keep their hairs dry and they would not be able to comb them. For this I would suggest using natural conditioner of gel, but don’t use it regularly. I think the best would be to use oil, gel, and conditioner on alternate days.
Other drawback of applying oil daily on hairs is when you go out all the dust particles get stick to the hairs. The dust particles gets inside the pores present on the hairs and damages the supply of the nutrients to the hair parts. This way breaking of the hairs is noted as nutrition doesn’t reach the hairs in adequate amount to all parts. Later on, even the hairs grip over the head region starts getting loose, which ultimately causes hair loss. If you don’t take the adequate precautions to prevent this hair loss, then it may result into baldness.
When it comes to oiling there are variety of the brands and types of hair oil, which one to use would be really confusing? In this case you must first understand that what is your hair type and then use the hair oil accordingly. Getting the advice from the Trichologist (hair expert) can be helpful in this case as he may be able to study your hair type properly. You can either opt for the almond, coconut, or henna oil, whichever suits you the best or you can use these oils alternatively in the weeks. But, whatever may be the reason don’t oil the hairs more than four times in a week because this may lead to its ill effects. So, make it point to use hair oil in limit and never use it in excess.

Moved
It's day twelve of the Olympics. I hadn't watched anything but a few moments of it.
I tend to think of the Olympics as a huge advertising festival. The enormity of that has wiped away wonderful childhood memories of watching the Olympics with great enjoyment. When I was ten years old, I watched speed skating with other children in a strange hotel for kids on the North Sea in the Netherlands. I couldn't speak or understand Dutch, but I loved skating, and we all watched with smiles on our faces.
But then came the up close and personals, and the Tanya Harding episode, and all the athletes plastered in endorsement patches. So, this year, when I realized I couldn't watch it on TV, and then came to find out that I could only see clips on-line, well, I said "I've got better things to do with my time."
But tonight, I watched some figure skating. Wow. Were they always this good?
But, nothing prepared me for the raw footage with no screaming commentators of the two young Estonians dancing to Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters." I love that I have no idea what the experts thought. I love that she has braces, and he's got yellow teeth and looks all of sixteen. They danced with such intensity. Oh yes, they skated. Nothing else mattered.
No commentary? I can think whatever I like.
Image note: From overhead shots of the ice dancing, here. Hey, I just found out the names of the Estonians, and they're Irina Shtork and Taavi Rand, and, well, she is 16 years old. What did you do at 16? On a night such as this, I was probably doing bong hits with some friends. . .
"THE FLASH" HAS FOUND ITSELF A DIRECTOR?
As you know the Flash possesses "super-speed", which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes and seemingly violate certain laws of physics. Most of us remember Flash from CBS show starring double-Emmy Award winner John Wesley Shipp in which he became a crime fighting hero of Central City after surviving a lightning-induced chemical accident.
VANESSA REDGRAVE IN ROLAND EMMERICH'S SHAKESPEARE MOVIE
We have Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Elizabeth, David Thewlis as William Cecil, old and young, and Rhys Ifans as The Earl Of Oxford. It's a true English cast and I'm really proud of it. There's 12 main characters and 20 or 30 other characters, and each of the characters is really good. It's a mix of a lot of things: it's an historical thriller because it's about who will succeed Queen Elizabeth and the struggle of the people who want to have a hand in it. It's the Tudors on one side and the Cecils on the other, and in between is the Queen. Through that story we tell how the plays written by the Earl of Oxford ended up labeled "William Shakespeare".
So, what do you think about this, do you believe that Emmerich can make a non-apocalyptic drama with acclaimed actors?
SOPHIE KINSELLA'S "THE UNDOMESTIC GODDESS" TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE
Adapted by Aline Brosh McKenna ("The Devil Wears Prada"), Kinsella's book centers on a workaholic female attorney who, believing she wrecked her chances of being named partner at her London firm, has a meltdown and ends up in the English countryside. After stopping at a large house to ask directions, she is mistaken as a candidate for a maid position and takes a housekeeping job.
Hope some nice actress will get cast for the main role.

FREIDA PINTO JOINS HENRY CAVILL IN TARSEM'S EPIC "WAR OF THE GODS"
As HOLLYWOOD SPY has mentioned many times now, the story of the film will follow a young warrior Theseus who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind. The "Slumdog Millionaire" star will portray Phaedra, an oracle priestess who must join Theseus, played by Henry Cavill from "The Tudors", on his quest to prevent the cataclysmic war from erupting.
UPDATE: According to "Deadline Hollywood Daily" Mickey Rourke is in talks to play King Hyperion in "War of the Gods".
"CENTURION" HAS FOUND ITS U.S. DISTRIBUTOR
Boasting savagely violent battle scenes and an adrenaline fueled chase through the breathtaking Scottish highlands, "Centurion" is set during the war between Roman soldiers and Pict tribesmen during the 2nd century Roman conquest of Britain. Fassbender stars as Quintus Dias, Roman centurion and son of a legendary gladiator who leads a group of soldiers on a raid of a Pict camp to rescue a captured general (West). The son of the Pict leader is murdered during the raid, and the Romans find themselves hunted by a seemingly unstoppable group of the Pict's most vicious and skilled warriors, led by a beautiful and deadly tracker (Kurylenko), who are hell bent on revenge.
EIGHT HANDSOME BOYS IN THE RUN FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA
As you know the casting for the "First Avenger: Captain America" helmed by director Joe Johnston should start very soon. In the last few months we were all buzzing about possible candidates for the main role and it appears that Johnston will begin testing candidates from the list of front-runners which includes a whole bunch of handsome young actors: Chace Crawford, John Krasinski, Ryan McPartlin, Mike Vogel (all in the pic above), Jensen Ackles, Patrick Fleuger, Michael Cassidy and Scott Porter (in the pic bellow).
According to most movie websites whoever does sign on for the role will be required to sign options for nine other films, which could include sequels, "The Avengers" film and other future projects down the line. The film is currently set for a July 22, 2011 release so they still have some time to finish their business. So, who would be your favourite? You already know who's mine :))
MATTHEW GOODE IS THE HOBBIT???
Now he's a father, Goode doesn't even like travelling that much. But just before we met, he'd auditioned for the role of Bilbo Baggins in Guillermo del Toro's two-part film of "The Hobbit". As he is the first to admit, he's not an obvious choice - "Look at the size of me for Christ's sake!" If he got the part, he would, he says, find it almost impossible to refuse - despite the fact that it would involve him spending several months in New Zealand.
Although I'm a fan of LOTR I must admit I wasn't overly excited about "The Hobbit" project since those little gnomes were the most boring part of Peter Jackson's saga for me, but the possibility of Matthew Goode appearing in it has sparkled my interest and support :) You must admit he does have an otherwordly appearance and charisma.

Love Shayari
Supper, dinner, evening meal
It's been so delicious that I've had it three nights in a row:
One big bowl of avocado, mung bean sprouts, mixed greens, parsley, dill, lightly cooked asparagus, and toasted pumpkin seeds, accompanied by a hunk of warm sourdough bread with fresh butter.
To think I used to scoff at the women who ate salads while their dining companions ate steak! Ah, if they were eating iceberg I'd still grumble. But this? It is heaven.
Painting note: Not dinner, but "Breakfast". Paul Cignac 1886-1887
Creative hopelessness
For some, change comes easily. For others, change comes kicking and screaming. And, for others, change comes only after the accepted notion of "hitting bottom." I recently encountered the idea of "creative hopelessness" and find that a compelling term, one that sits better with me than thinking I've been sitting in a pile of my own poop, and with nowhere further to fall, had to climb out of it.
After I read "Living Beyond Your Pain" (which may indeed have been the catalyst for my "conversion experience"), I wanted to know more about ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), so I'm reading it's primer right now. It's an exciting book. It was written for therapists, but it is certainly readable for the layperson. The emphasis is on applying ACT to clients, and not just explaining its rationale. I find it interesting (to say the least) how the book addresses many common "scripts" that clients engage in, and how to interact with these barriers to growth.
One of these common scripts is the phrase "I'll just put up with it." There is much about the concept of "settling." Why do we settle? Fear. Hopelessness. Helplessness. ACT challenges the client to engage in thinking about change. Understanding why one has gotten to where they are is the past, beside the point (though not dishonored), and creatively indulging in fantasies of what one's life can be is encouraged.
What's interesting to me is the fact that many a person, when confronted with the question "If you had no obstacles, what would you do?" will choke. First, they might say "That's a ridiculous question. I do have obstacles!" The dialogue ends right there.
I had certainly engaged in that abrupt ending of all creative visualizations of what I'd like for my life (with brief interludes). I had come to believe that thinking about possibilities was actually bad for me. This, I now learn, is common.
Some folks don't like finding out that their neuroses are so average as to be scriptable. I find it comforting, or, at the very least, useful. To see that my non-useful (as opposed to negative) self-talk and behavior as a package, one created by set of experiences that has commonality with others, diminishes it. I can then choose to toss that package overboard. I really don't want to carry around that package any longer.
I make it sound like an easy choice. It is not. I am not young, and it's taken me many years to get to the point where I feel ready to let go of my scripts and baggage. As I'm engaging in some group therapy these days, I see how tightly the young women hold on to the very behaviors that are causing them to suffer. It's also plain to me that inviting them to let go would be futile. Those defense mechanism are there for a reason and it takes years for them to either wear away or become so calcified that they can not be. And, as I've written before, I think that it may be a matter of luck which way it goes - freedom or not.
I suppose when I say that I'm not giving myself enough credit. I've spent a good deal of my life pursuing freedom from my demons. All that meditation should have amounted to something, no? The person who first sat on a meditation cushion nearly twenty years ago is not the same person who is typing these words.
I have always been jealous of those people who pursue one thing in their lives and do it well, the types who know what they want from an early age, who seem to move through life like a bullet or an arrow. But not all of us are like that, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. It makes for a rockier ride, but if not for those of us who get dashed on the rocks from time to time, where would the insights come from? Sorry, but I really do not believe that great creativity can come from a life without some trouble.
So, when I read about "creative helplessness", I smile. Those of us who are stuck in ruts, dashed upon rocky shores, pinned down like insects (or any other cliche you'd like to insert here) have a great opportunity to figure our ways out of things. What we come up with is the stuff of great novels, great adventures, and great possibility.
Painting note: Pietro Perugino This is not my favorite painting of St. Sebastian. But, the question is, "What did he do?" I realize I have no idea.
ISLA FISHER WILL "KISS AND TELL"
According to Variety, a rather promising story follows a woman who discovers she has the power to see exactly how a long-term relationship will unfold with a man after kissing him.
SF TRILOGY "THE FOURTH REALM" TO BE ADAPTED INTO A MOVIE
The first book, titled "The Traveler" was set in a U.S. society run by a secret organization seeking to control the population via constant observation. Seeking to rebel against these constraints are an almost extinct group of people called Travelers, who can project their spirit into other dimensions, and their protectors, called Harlequins. The main character was a reluctant Harlequin named Maya who had to protect two naive Traveler brothers.
The books were best-sellers but the author himself is especially interesting. Hawks is extremely reclusive according to his publisher "Random House", and neither his editor nor agent has ever met him. Hawks, seemingly intent on imitating some of his characters' lifestyles, communicates only via a voice scrambler and untraceable satellite phone, and during the book tour he uses stand-ins.
A BUNCH OF NEW COMEDY PILOTS COMING TO TV
Jane Kaczmarek and Adam Arkin will star in ABC's comedy pilot "Who Gets the Parents?", joining Andrew West and Derek Richardson. The story will revolve around a couple (Kaczmarek and Arkin), who, after 30 years of marriage, are getting a divorce and take on more active roles in the lives of their three adult children. West will play the super smart youngest child, and Richardson will play the sensitive middle child.
Already known in the comedy department, Leah Remini (pic above) is returning to TV as a lead in ABC's comedy pilot "It Takes a Village". The story will revolve around exes Karen (Remini) and Howard and their new significant others, who join forces to raise their 15-year-old boy.
Fox's "Most Likely to Succeed" will be about a group of friends who were once superstars in high school but now face the reality of adulthood. Kaitlin Doubleday will play Becca, once voted "most popular" but recently divorced from her cheating ex-husband.
"Freshmen", from 20th TV, is the comedy about three freshmen members of Congress (one played by Sarah Chalke)(lower pic) who live together in D.C. Taran Killam will play Chalke's personal assistant, a go-getter.
NBC's comedy pilot "This Little Piggy" centers on a family man (Ben Koldyke) forced to take in his two adult siblings, who have fallen on hard times.

Suhag Ki Woh Raat
Kaisi thi woh raat kuch keh sakta nahi main
Chahoon kehna to bayan kar sakta nahi mai,
Dulhan ban ke meri jab woh bahoon main aayee thi
Sej saji thi phoolon ki par us ne mehkai thi,
Ghunghat mein ik chand tha aur sirf tanhai thi
Us sard raat mein saanse bhi shola ban kar takrai thi,
Tika, bindi, kangna, payal sabne shor machaya tha
Jab uske shokh badan ko maine haath lagaya tha,
Doob gaye the hum dono us dehekti pyar ki aag mein
Tod diya tha hum ne kaliyo ko uske pyar ke baag mein,
Kya batlaaye ab hum, woh raat kis kadar nirali thi
Hamare suhag ki woh raat,jo itni matwali thi……..
