A neurotic
When the sun rises
I start feeling sick
This 'd be the time
when I'd be lonely
admist the big crowd.
But accompanies me hope.
The hope of a special one.
Who shall bare away all
my undisturbed loneliness
There has been times
when my eyes had sparkled
with the sight of smiling faces
which promised me vibrant life
but soon they withdrew back.
Leaving in a situation worse.
The INCOMPLETE ME!
I'm like the spiky thorny cactus
which is valued in deserts, alone
to quench the thirst of passer-by
The passer-by
who are not there to stay.
The valueless rogue
Unwanted in garden
of vibrant colored flower
where even my touch pinches
and oozes the blood out of
my sole lover; The Gardener.
The pious liquid i store
is of no use to those
living on river banks,
the place where my heart wanna be.
Satisfied, I'm watching
the wet lips and joys of passers-by.
The thorny untuchable ME!
Whenever I desired success
It ran far away, and
it was never too near.
As if it were the wind
which 'd ignite the spark; ME.
And others 'd be charred.
My failures,
The big ice blocks
uncountable in number
distinct and vivid
has doused me long before.
Now I need the wind
to live, to breathe.
My diluted strength
refuses now to SPARK.
The lifeless ME!
The only thing I Know
Is I have to live.
I have to fight back, anyhow
I've to get rid of somehow,
my unwished company
Failures, Loneliness, Sickness
Impoverishment, Hatred.
The life has to go, atleast move
and has to be for long
And it got to be strong.
Vibrant colors, Sparkle, Joys
will have to come to me.
Waiting for someone to
hold my hands and hug me
Someone.....who's there forever.
The waiting ME..........
Saline and all that....
I find, my poems and other write-ups, funny now! And stupid as well. They are. But still, Am putting up here.
Mischievous Life
Nothing in life, I could feel,
And the air was extremely still.
I had chosen for myself, one way road
With, hallucinating, all of "ME" load.
No joy, No smile, No sorrow, No tear
Unperturbed, Nothing could bring me fear
Time drew back, but ambience still stale
My taciturn mouth & face remained pale.
A turn came, where aromatic fresh air disturbed
Beautiful birds came in and chirped
Many souls with myriad variety i met
One enigmatic soul got me attracted.
In perverse moments, two of our souls gelled
And now, out of nowhere unlimited happiness hailed
Weather got rosier and much better
As the thorns shrunk and trees got taller
That was the cosiest of times worth everything
Together were the two souls, on each road, every x-ing
The b'ful sweet water lake started expanding more
Brought sparkles, smiles & laughters galore.
Spring had stepped in, to change me
Vibrating colourful life, everywhere I could see
Lovely red daffodil leaves, golden waterfall
Always to my ear came, my favorite soul's call
But not long, when dusk suddenly dawned
Mockingly, all good things yawned
Heartless souls created around us cacophony
And Darkest of clouds assured viacrious harmony
Clouds hovered high, Heavy rains lashes around us all places
Birds, like our happiness, vanished leaving no traces
But our sould had wished happiness but not ephermal
Smile, the sould put up as a facde, only unreal.
Absent were beeches, encircled us mud
Apocalyptic silence, nothing could be heard
when heartless souls again gave us a jerk
Terrible enuff to make our life berserk.
Strangers to tear, the seperated sould cried.
Realizing, promises by life were lied.
Left with only hopes, future, poor sould didn't, then, see
heartbroken, as i reminisces, SALINE TRAIL ME
However hard i try SALINE TRAIL ME.
P.S: Instead of "SALINE TRAIL ME", there was "TEARS FAIL ME"..but Another dear friend has his poem by the same name....so tweaked it a bit!

The facts, embellished
Yesterday some one left a comment on an old post about the Ikea mattress fiasco that accused me of "slandering" the company, and then went on to advise me "to keep it real and stick to the facts." I'm not bothered by someone leaving this comment. The truth is that I find it rather amusing.
I suppose my use of the word "fiasco", above, could be seen as not sticking to the facts. There was no fiasco in the true sense of the word. I was not sued. No Ikea employees came to my house and burned it to the ground. I didn't go ballistic and threaten to shoot anyone. In the end, everything worked out fine. 800 miles of driving and lots of complaining - we got our money back and now have a fine mattress.
The truth is a slippery thing. I write honestly and say what is my truth, but I tend toward hyperbole, no doubt about it. There's nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. My aim is not a dry reporting of the facts and just the facts ma'am. Often the facts are boring. This blog was not meant to be a repository of consumer reports. I'm a storyteller (at my best) and storytellers embellish, or at least they try to make things interesting.
I say "everything is interesting" but even the most interesting things can be made boring in their re-telling. I wrote a review for a book about exorcism ("The Rite"). I believe I entitled the review "how could anyone render a book about exorcism so boring?" Now, many people don't like my review (and that's fine), but I was amazed at how dry this book was. But, in the author's attempt to not sensationalize an already sensational topic, he went overboard in writing without any feeling. Others do not agree; the book is well-liked. Well, that's people for you. We all have our opinions, including me (obviously).
Now, this may be a boring post. I've really not much to say. I've been tired and head-achy for a few weeks now, and there's been so much I've felt like blogging about, but every time I start blogging, I get sleepy and put what I've written aside as a draft, never to be looked at again. I also would prefer to be knitting, and my clothes dryer just beeped and I need to attend to that. On top of that, I haven't felt like analyzing much of anything that I've been doing, and some of what I've been doing is best shared in photographs. Right now, quite frankly, I'd rather be knitting than writing, so after I'm done folding my laundry that's what I'm going to do. And after that, I'll probably watch an episode of "The Sanctuary", a show I've been enjoying quite a bit. Now, that is a surprise to me. I normally don't go in for television shows about the supernatural, but there's something about this show that makes me feel relaxed and even happy. A smart 147-year-old woman scientist, her gold gun toting daughter, a gentle werewolf, and a young psychiatrist who seems to always have his hands in his pockets are the main characters. The rest? Monsters of all kinds and a very simple good vs. evil vibe where everything always always resolves itself well. I feel the same pleasure I once got reading Spiderman comics. Hey, sometimes one needs to just veg out.
Photo note: "Done Roving" yarn. Since I didn't write about my last two days working at the yarn shop, I figure I should show you some of my current favorite yarn company's yarn. When I'm "selling" yarn, I might pick up a skein of something like this and say "this has got to be the most gorgeous stuff I've ever seen." Hyperbole? Not at the moment I'm holding it in my hands or laying it on the floor to see how the colors interplay. . .at that moment, it is the most gorgeous thing I've ever laid my eyes on.
In the meantime, a great link

Plagiarism case could stop Bollywood borrowing from Hollywood
Bollywood has a tradition of remaking Hollywood blockbusters — and of spicing up even the grittiest thrillers with big song and dance numbers and wet sari scenes.
But if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, India’s film-makers have finally taken their adulation too far. For the first time, a Bollywood producer has been forced to pay for plagiarising a Hollywood hit.
Twentieth Century Fox took the Mumbai-based BR Films to court, alleging that the Indian company’s forthcoming Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai (This Guy is Fearless) was an illegal remake of the American studio’s Oscar-winning crime caper My Cousin Vinny, which was released in 1992.
This week BR Films agreed to pay Twentieth Century Fox, which is 82.1 per cent owned by News Corporation, the parent company of The Times, about $200,000 (£119,000) in an out-of-court settlement.
The deal paves the way for the Indian film’s release, but it could mark the end of an era where Bollywood remade everything from The Godfather (the Hindi version was called Sarkar) to Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, renamed Satte Pe Satta, with apparent impunity.
In recent months Chander Lall, a lawyer who represents two major American studios, has sent a slew of warning letters to producers who he believes are copying Hollywood films.
The titles allegedly poised to be “Indianised” included Ghostbusters, Jerry Maguire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Departed and The Hangover.
Mr Lall said that Bollywood had long paid homage to Hollywood’s most successful films, but that Indian studios had increased the practice in recent years.
“Bollywood used to deliver pure escapism. The films were driven by glamour and a star cast and the plot was not important.
With the arrival of modern multiplex theatres over the past five years, and the more discerning audiences they attract, that has changed,” he told The Times.
“Audiences now want new stories. The problem is, Bollywood has no tradition of producing original screenplays.”
By plagiarising scripts, the film-makers profit from intensive test screenings that American producers carry out to gauge audience reactions and maximise ticket sales, Mr Lall said.
Bollywood productions inspired by Western originals are popular. Last year Ghajini, an action thriller starring Aamir Khan, became the first Bollywood film to take more than a billion rupees (£12.5 million) at the domestic box office.
The tale of a man with anterograde amnesia, who tattoos himself to remember that he is searching for his wife’s killer, was clearly a remake of Memento, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Screenplay in 2002.
Other titles have been adapted heavily to suit Indian tastes. The remake of the violent and brooding film Fight Club included an uptempo dance routine. Industry insiders, however, dispute that India is suffering a talent crunch.
“We have a very strong creative culture, with a very solid set of literary works,” Taran Adarsh, a film critic, said. “But if you have a ready-made script waiting to be Indianised, why not use it?”
He added: “It’s going to be very tough to rob ideas from now on. Hollywood’s suddenly looking at Bollywood very minutely.”
